Tournament # 002

The sign-ups for 2nd Battle Bros Tournament are now closed.

It is desired that each interested individual reads through the NOTES AND RULES section (just click on bold text for a direct link).

As in previous tournament, there will be 16 players competing to win the GLORY, but the number may be increased to 32 in case of an extreme interest. Once all 16 (or 32) competitors will be known, the random draw will be made and the SCHEDULE will be posted.
For current info about competitors and vacancy, please check the LIVE UPDATE.

Each individual is able to join either via the lobby or by posting his entry request under this thread. While doing so, he/she must let the organizers know about the exact in-game account on which that player wants to participate and about the game type that player would prefer to play, which is not necessary. Everybody with manners and serious approach is welcome.

If a person is known to be honest and reliable, he/she can also apply for judge position. For further info on judge's powers and duties, please read the notes for judges under the NOTES AND RULES section.

Once the game type will be known, all participants will be able to post their maps and judges will take them into consideration for the tournament map, which is contestant's right but again is not necessary. For detailed information on this and other matters, again read the NOTES AND RULES.

In case anybody has a comment or would like to discuss the tournament, please post under this thread.

One change has been made from the previous tournament - each interested individual will have to be registered on The Battle Brothers site to be granted entry. This change has been made as a precaution to prevent matches from not being played since forum makes arrangements significantly easier.
Note that the amount of unplayed matches in previous tournament was almost 27%, which is statistically not very good. The goal is to decrease that amount as much as possible.

Thanks for your interest to join the tournament.

The Battle Bros Tournament Series are temporarily on hold due to the lack of contestants. It is known that current community is relatively small and/or inactive, therefore it is at this time practically impossible to organize a decent tournament competition.

Since Brotherhood of Battle will be released "webwide" in near future (at this time complete version is available only on X-Gen), it is also expected that the game will receive significant increase in number of people playing it. Once this happens, the trournaments will again be possible.

A special announcement will then be posted under this thread and you will of course be welcome to join at that time if you will still desire to do so.

I think its great that BoB will be more popular, even though i kinda like it the way it is Crying or Very sad

anyway is there a thread about our forums on the BoB forum on xgen? Because if there isn't, i think we should definitely make one.

When I mentioned popularity growth in "webwide" release, I meant something like 50 or more people on at once... Smile

... or so I'd expect.

I do not recall that a thread about The Battle Brothers site exists on X-Gen forums. I have no plans to open such a thread in the future, though anybody else who feels it appropriate is welcome to do so.

All tournaments under this category are (and will be) designed for 2 player matches only (1 on 1).

Battle Bros Tournament Series are on hold for the time being, but the plan is to get it running again in near future. If you'll still be interested to join at that time, you'll be very welcome to... Smile

I'm planning to reopen the sign-ups soon after 7th June.

I will probably be tight on time until then, so can't afford such distractions. After the first week in June, I will be able to organize everything for the tournament properly.

Of course.

All this will be done once the sign-ups close and competitors are known. As mentioned, sign-ups for this tournament will be reopened after July 7th.

P.S.:
Just to underline that everybody is also welcome to apply for judge position. Ideally there would be at least 4 judges for the tournament, 2 from EU and 2 from USA.

Schedule draw will be entirely random, as in previous tournament.

Each of contestants has the right to cast one vote for game type which he or she would prefer to play during the tournament. Game type with majority of votes will be selected for the tournament.
